JacksonCandlelight was filtering through the darkness, its orange fingertips tickling the corners of the room as it unwittingly revealed the figures of two women. Even the winter’s darkness could not conceal the telltale screams of the woman whose tears of joy and pain betrayed the act of childbirth. Beside her cries, the night was soundless, still and eerily-serene. The storms that had so previously wracked the velvet skies had ceased, perhaps only temporarily, and given way to calm reminiscent of a midsummer night. Her NightmareThe fog billowed from all directions, and the girl stumbled. On her knees, now, she couldn’t see- the whole world, one she’d knew for so long, was falling in upon her. Everything she’d known for the last few years was gone, washed away on rivers of orange fury. Every building, tree and statue had been razed to the ground by his wicked hand, and now, despite her final stand, she was going to go the same way as all those before her. A land she had vowed to protect at the heels of father and son alike was broken, cracked beyond recognition- nothing but a desolate desert of dark and disturbing memories; a wasteland of destruction.Her Nightmare
